Brightlingsea Regent Football Club

Brightlingsea Regent FC plays in the English Isthmian League League. Founded in 2005 after a merger of Brightlingsea United and Regent Park Rangers they made a steady progress through the leagues before gaining promotion to the Isthmian Premier League after winning Division One in season 2016/17

 

The R's play their home matches at North Road which has been the home of football in Brightlingsea since 1929.

Club highlights over the years include several League Champions titles as well as FA Cup run in 2018/19 where they made it through to the 3rd Qualifying round before getting knocked out by Torquay United.

Brightlingsea Regent bought their stand on Ebay, yes Ebay, for the sum of £5,500 in 2014, add to that the sum of £400 that the actual ground that they play on cost then you have a stadium for £5,900 - now that is value for money.
